The new Touch Plus controllers operate similarly to the Quest 2 controllers but lack the protective rings found on the Quest 2 model.
Charging:
The controllers have an LED indicator to show their status:
Red: The controller's battery is depleted.
Green: Indicates the charge level using green dots. Four dots mean a full charge, while one dot indicates a low battery.
Blue: The controller is attempting to pair with a headset.
To replace the batteries, simply slide off the cover. The Touch Plus controllers use AA batteries, and rechargeable batteries can be charged using the charging dock provided (link to be added when available).
Pairing:
- Ensure your headset is powered on.
- Press the power button on the left controller.
- Press the power button on the right controller.
- After two seconds, an LED light will indicate that the controller is powered on.
- Open the Meta Quest app on your phone.
- Tap on "Menu."
- Tap on "Devices."
- Select the headset you want to pair the controllers with.
- Tap on "Controllers," then select "Left" or "Right" to choose which controller to pair.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the pairing process.
When in pairing mode, the controllers will show a blue and white blinking light. A blue light will blink three times when the pairing is successful. Once paired, the controllers will automatically connect to your headset whenever it is turned on and nearby.
